Itinerary
Arrive at Goa’s Panjim Airport or Thivim Station. Transfer (optional) to Aldona Village, North Goa. Check in to your homestay hosted by Roberto and Raquel in a 500-year-old Portuguese-style house. Relax in the peaceful surroundings, enjoy local stories, or unwind in a hammock. Later, explore Aldona by foot or mountain bike. Interact with locals and take in the unspoiled countryside. Return to your homestay for a restful night.
After breakfast, choose your adventure: Head to Arvalem to see Asia’s oldest rock-cut caves and splash in the refreshing Arvalem Waterfalls. End the day with a paddle boat ride on Mayem Lake. OR Visit the Mapusa Market, famous for local crafts and spices. In the evening, enjoy a guided village walk with your hosts, visit Aldona Church and cemetery, abandoned Portuguese mansions, and end the day at a traditional bakery to watch fresh bread being made. Overnight stay at your homestay.
After breakfast, set off on a guided kayaking experience through Goa’s peaceful and less-explored backwaters. Paddle past mangroves, birds, and hidden coves. No crowds, no noise — just serenity and nature. Watch the sunset and return to Aldona for dinner and overnight stay.
Today is unscheduled and yours to enjoy as you like. Choose from: A speedboat ride through untouched backwaters with bird-spotting (Oct–Mar: sea excursion to see dolphins) Island hopping via local ferry, visiting riverside villages and family-run Goan eateries Taste local urakh, the lesser-known cousin of feni Try your luck at a floating casino or enjoy Goan nightlife Return to your homestay for the final night.
After breakfast, bid farewell to your hosts and transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey. Tour ends with memories of Goa’s hidden soul.
